WELCOME TO THE KINDAICHI PROJECT

Please read more about us in the "About Kindaichi" section!

Also, we would like to helpfully recommend that you visit Kindaichi Academy Works for your Kindaichi anime fix!

UPDATE 11/29/09

Hope everyone in the US enjoyed their Thanksgiving this past week! And while we're giving thanks to all the good things in our life, think about thanking EK1989 for translating the conclusion of "Who Killed the Goddess?"!

Cheers!
Mikomi

UPDATE 11/01/09

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! It's a little late to ask for a trick in exchange for this treat, but we've got the second part of the three-parter case "Who Killed the Goddess?" available for download! As always, the Download section is the place to go!

Cheers!
Mikomi

UPDATE 09/13/09

I doubt we'll ever be able to beat this record time (for us!) but...

Thanks to the efforts of our amazing translator CoconutCheez, we were able to churn out the conclusion to "The Mirror Maze Murder Incident"!

Please check out the Downloads section to see if you can claim to be as smart as Kindaichi!

Cheers!
Mikomi

UPDATE 09/09/09

Just as we were about to try and upload something to MangaHelpers.com, we were greeted with the news that all Kodansha titles (scanlated or Raw) have been removed from the site! Rumor has it that it's related to Kodansha's new branch in America. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this might be some kind of good news for our favourite detective manga series!

Oh, but wait! There was another point to this update! The point being...

We have our first ever scanlated chapter of Kindaichi! Please check it out in the "Downloads" section of the site. Hopefully the conclusion chapter will follow soon!

Cheers!
Mikomi

UPDATE 09/03/09

Although Kindaichi's fate with ToykoPop has been pretty uncertain for awhile, it's just been made clearer with the announcement that TokyoPop and Kodansha have split. Unfortunately, I have no idea what that means for this title. I suppose we can cross our fingers and hope that maybe a company like Del Rey will pick up the licensing rights!

UPDATE 08/15/09

We are in desperate need of Chinese or Japanese translators for this project! If you have any interest at all, please contact us at kindaichiproject@gmail.com.

UPDATE 08/09/09

So it looks like the inevitable has happened and Kindaichi has been dropped off of TokyoPop's roster for the time-being. We're hoping this is only a temporary snaffu, but we - we being mostly Mikomi - feel compelled to act! So we're making an attempt at giving the ol' project a good kick in the pants to get it restarted! As before, we only plan to provide scanlations of the untranslated and unreleased short cases for the time being. Tell your susceptible friends about this little taste of our favourite detective series to convince those new to the series to go out and buy their own copies; albeit at the slow pace of overwhelmed University students/members of the workforce.

Here's hoping we can show TokyoPop that there's an audience out there for this amazing series!
