Seventeen volumes of the Kindaichi series have been translated into English by TokyoPop. These are high quality translations by professionals who are so intent on giving the reader the same advantage for solving the mystery as Japanese readers that they altered a whole clue to make it fair! These are excellent translations of the series and - to reiterate what was said in the about section - the whole point of this project is to get more of these books published! So please, if you like what you see here, go out and buy the official English manga! We want to support the authors and support TokyoPop's initial decision in buying the rights to this series!

September 6, 2009: It has recently come to my attention that procuring these official releases of the Kindaichi Case Files has become quite difficult and will only be increasingly so with news that TokyoPop and Kodansha have parted ways professionally. Unfortunately, this means that TokyoPop will not be doing reprints of this series. I have seen volumes with a selling price as high as $124.99, so I highly encourage you to purchase whatever volumes you can find at a reasonable price before they are sold out!
