FANS/STAFF

We are 1) the fans of Kindaichi who enjoy the series so much that we want to share it, give it the exposure it needs, and hope that others will realize how great it really is, and 2) the wonderful, kind-hearted people who let themselves get dragged into this crazy project.

We're not insane though, we have our own lives and this is simply our pet project when we're not buried under work of our own. Truthfully, we are reluctant in making this project too big, as we absolutely do not wish to undermine the releases of Tokyopop, so we feel most comfortable with our "work-at-your-own-pace" atmosphere.

Favourite Charater(s): Kindaichi Hajime (for his stupidity and pervertedness), Akechi Kengo (for his looks and brains), the Saki Brothers (for their enthusiasm), The Puppeteer from Hell (for his chilling brilliance)
How CoconutCheez Discovered Kindaichi: C.C. (as we like to call her) has no real recollection of how Kindaichi came into her life. One day, she just realized that it was sort of there and that she sort of liked it. Although she faintly recalls stealing her first copy from a younger girl in her class who borrowed it from a manga library, we can't really be sure she's telling the truth as she pretends to be more nefarious than she really is.
What CoconutCheez has to say about Kindaichi: It's so unbelievably true, and leaves you with the chilling haunting sensation that is too real.

Favourite Charater(s): Miyuki Nanase. She's definitely my favourite because of the love-hate relationship, and oh "we're just childhood friends" (Yeah right :P). Definitely looking forward to the day that they finally confess ;D.
How EK1989 Discovered Kindaichi: Started by watching the first and second season of the television series and then eventually got to read the manga during the summer of 2009.

Bio: Gaisce likes grammar, and so Komi dragged her into our ranks to make sure our releases aren't riddled with grammatical errors! Although she has a passing fondness for Kindaichi, the mystery series that has earned her true devotion is Trick.

Melly when she sees Akechi! Position: Chinese Translator/The "I Want To Marry Akechi!" Fangirl
Favourite Character(s): Akechi Kengo (because he's so HOT, smart, arrogant & perfect in every single way *drool*) and The Puppeteer from Hell (for his plain evilness)
How Melly Discovered Kindaichi: Taking the volumes from her GTO-esque uncle who took the volumes from high school students reading during class, Melly promptly fell in love with the series and, more importantly, Akechi Kengo and The Puppeteer from Hell. In order to access her Uncle's treasure trove of Kindaichi manga, she volunteered to babysit her young and impressionable cousin only to abandon him for the gory and touching stories of Kindaichi.
What Melly has to say about Kindaichi: I like it because of how there's always a very touching story behind every murder... you don't know whether you should hate the murderer or feel sorry for him/her... and AKECHI!!! The tricks they use are soooooo random & genius.... yet it's possible ^^



MIKOMI

Mikomi hard at work! Position: Co-Moderator/Scanner/Cleaner/Slavedriver/The "I Need More Kindaichi!" Fangirl
Favourite Character(s): Kindaichi Hajime (for his stupidity despite his brilliance), Nanase Miyuki (for her never-faltering faith in Kindaichi), and Kenmochi (because no one seems to love him)
How Mikomi Discovered Kindaichi: In the midst of a Matsumoto Jun fangirl phase (which she has yet to escape from), Mikomi watched the third season of Kindaichi starring this boyband star and was promptly impressed with the mysteries. Suddenly discovering that everyone around her (including her own mother!) had already been privy to this great series and was essentially "cooler" than her because of it, she became obsessed. Begging translations off Melly and C.C. and purchasing the official TokyoPop versions whenever possible, she is on a quest to finally finish reading all the Kindaichi cases.
What Mikomi has to say about Kindaichi: It leaves me with my chin hanging when everything is revealed. The tricks are clever but not unbelievable, the villains are just human beings with human emotions, and the friendship/relationship Miyuki and Kindaichi have are all things I enjoy!

Favourite Character(s): Kindaichi Hajime, Nanase Miyuki, and Chris (he's the boy genius character in Treasure Isle and is Kindaichi's rival in that case)
How PrettyShinigami Discovered Kindaichi: When I was still in grade school (in Hong Kong), I saw Kindaichi manga in a bookstore and bought it (I bought volume 16 "House of Wax Case"). Then after reading it I just realized that it was a fantastic manga!!!
What PrettyShinigami has to say about Kindaichi: I love the plots of the killers, and then the mysterious way of having their perfect alibi. And I'm really amazed at how Kindaichi solves all the cases. ^^
